Snape Community Speedwatch is a team of volunteers helping to promote safe and considerate driving in the village. You may have seen us around the village, where we record speeding drivers in an attempt to help drivers remember the speed limit. The group runs under the auspices of Suffolk Constabulary, working within the guidance of their framework.
Our endeavours have proved to be positive, however at times there are vehicles that we record being driven at worrying speeds. We are looking for more volunteers to join the team. Training is given from experienced members, and you only offer as many sessions as you can. It is a non-confrontational exercise, and is merely a reminder to be aware of safety on the road.
If you are interested and would like more information, please give your contact details to the Parish Council Clerk (clerk@snape-pc.gov.uk), who will pass them to us in order to contact you directly.
Thank you,
Snape Community Speedwatch Team (CSW)
