Further to the Meet Up Mondays appeal in May (below) for Volunteers, we now have an urgent request for later this month, please.
Whenever both our stronger-wristed hosts happen to be away, yet we're still at the Village Hall (ON TUESDAYS), we'd also welcome some help putting out the chairs and a few of the smaller tables at 10:35am, and back around 12:15pm. Could someone in the village step forward, please, on Tuesdays 22nd and 29th September to do this for us? That is as holiday cover on this occasion, and it would be such a relief for us. Thank you.

Over the last seven years, Snape Good Neighbours have performed over 800 jobs, mostly driving residents of Snape and the Maltings to Ipswich Hospital and the local doctors.
We also host the weekly Meet Up Mondays (MUM) sessions, which typically attract around 20 villagers. New members are always welcome — we are a very friendly lot, and all coffee and cake, tea and biscuits are absolutely free! Usually, we meet on Monday mornings at The Golden Key but, whilst the pub is closed between tenants, we're meeting on Tuesdays at the Village Hall instead, from 10:45am.
However, this popular initiative is slightly at risk as volunteers step down for ongoing health or family reasons — and we sometimes go away on holiday too! Helpers make the (especially good!) coffee, lay tables and generally wait at table, and chat, for 90 minutes — and then tidy up again. Our weekly hosts' rota has recently revived to just seven people, but we would like to expand a little more by one or two kind individuals, so that we can keep smiling!
If you'd like to know more, whether about MUM itself or helping at it, please DO feel free to join us any Tuesday morning (for now) — or else contact our Secretary, David McKenna, at sgns-secretary@snapevillage.info or via the Good Neighbours' phone number (below). You can read too about what we do at https://snape-pc.gov.uk/what/mum/ . Thank you.
A reminder too that the Good Neighbours can be reached ANY time at ☏ 0754 1754 426 — the number on your fridge magnet. Should you want a magnet dropped in to you, just email me at sgns-treasurer@snapevillage.info (or ring us) with your home address.
