Good Afternoon,
As you may be aware, East Suffolk Council will be holding elections on 6th May 2027. We are keen to encourage people who are passionate about their local community to consider standing for election, as Councillors can play a vital role in shaping local services and improving the quality of life for residents.
We are particularly keen to attract candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences who reflect the communities they would represent. To support this, we are holding two "Be a Councillor" events for anyone interested in finding out more about the role and what it involves. [These events are online over Teams: contact Maxine for any clarification.]
Please find attached an information sheet and flyer about the events. I should be grateful if you would share these with your Councillors and, where possible, display them on local noticeboards or in community venues. If you would like printed copies, please email democraticservices@eastsuffolk.gov.uk, and I will be happy to arrange these.
