The Planning Inspectorate (PINS) have accepted Scottish Power’s consent (DCO) applications for the offshore windfarms EA1N & EA2, and their onshore infrastructure.  Both projects move to 'Pre-examination' phase, and you have until 27th January to register as an interested party and provide "relevant representation" — an objection.  The Planning Inspectorate is the Government agency responsible for examining applications for proposed Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) within England and Wales.  DCO's are "Development Consent Orders", part of the planning process.

 SASES will be providing in-depth guidance on how to write these "representations", holding a morning and an afternoon briefing — you might find it helpful to attend either session before submitting yours.  They are anxious that as many as possible local residents and those most immediately affected by the proposals attend a briefing to help make their initial general representations.  So, please choose whichever time is most convenient.  If the first session is full, you have the opportunity to attend in the afternoon.
