Carols: Light of the World

Once again we share our offerings from this Christmas Eve service (at 4:30pm) with The Children's Society.  

"We associate Christmas with candles, and images of light in the darkness.  In the darkest of places a tiny candle flame will bring illumination.  That image can be a sign of hope when we feel down or depressed — that a small glimmer of something else will perhaps turn the situation around and give us renewed strength. … Candles bring light into our world – in church we always light candles for services, [or you can] leave a candle as a sign of the prayers you have said. … We have candlelit carol services and think of Jesus as the light who came into the world."  [Rev. Right now in Britain there are children and young people who feel scared, unloved and unable to cope.  The Children’s Society works with these young people, step by step, for as long as it takes.  They listen, they support, they act — because no child should feel alone.  Once again we are sharing our offering from this Carol Service with The Children's Society.
