"A protest is set to take place against plans for energy infrastructure in the Suffolk countryside. Action group Suffolk Energy Action Solutions (SEAS), which campaigns against the "adverse impacts" of power firm National Grid's plans for Friston and the Suffolk coast, is organising the demonstration [with other similar-minded action groups] at Snape Maltings on Wednesday, 5th November at midday.
"Attendees are asked to dress in black to symbolise mourning for the coast, and to bring black umbrellas. National Grid's Sea Link cable is currently being examined by the Planning Inspectorate. ... "

Cumulative Impact Rally, 5th November, 12:00 noon, Snape Maltings —
This area is under extreme pressure. This is our moment to stand together.
On Wednesday 5th November, at midday, join campaigners from across Suffolk at Snape Maltings for a solemn and striking demonstration at the start of the Sea Link hearings. We will be protesting against the relentless infrastructure burden facing our coast and countryside.

Parking and assembly details will be shared shortly. Please plan to arrive a little before 12:00 to prepare for a short procession. We ask all attendees to wear black, as if in mourning for our Suffolk Coast, and to bring black umbrellas as a symbol of shared loss and resistance.

peaceful Energy Projects'
Cumulative-Impact Rally
Wednesday 5th November,
12 noon to 1:00pm
outside Snape Maltings Concert Hall
The Open Floor hearings for the [Friston and Sternfield] Sea Link planning examination begin in Snape on Wednesday 5th November — and we’ll be there. This is a vital moment to make visible the CUMULATIVE IMPACT of so many energy projects on Suffolk’s coastal communities, and to call for Ministerial intervention to stop the madness.
We’ll be standing shoulder to shoulder with other community groups for a peaceful one-hour protest at midday in Snape. This will be a unified rallying cry, demanding fairness, recognition, and time for Government to engage meaningfully with the communities bearing the brunt of energy infrastructure. The cumulative impact has never been properly considered. That must change. There will be one clear, collective message: CUMULATIVE IMPACT. No individual campaign branding — just solidarity. Please save the date and spread the word: Wednesday 5th November, 12:00 noon to 1:00pm.
