UPDATED ON 30th AUGUST
—
Great news!  Dora the Cockapoo, owned by the Burgess family of Melton, was found at Bentwaters, finding her own way home from Tunstall Forest.  The reunited family and dog were on BBC Look East a couple of nights ago.

Dora wears a blue leather collar, and has been missing since Thursday morning, so is entering her third night.  Having been spotted near Blaxhall Ship yesterday, according to her owner (who I spoke to earlier this evening) she was later seen near Tunstall, apparently trying to make her way home to Melton.  She is very nervy of strangers, so please don't approach her, but report her whereabouts to her owners on ☏ 07771 635 700, who will happily collect her themselves.
I wouldn't normally post 'lost and found' notices on the website, but was emailed about Dora yesterday by a concerned Snape resident. Unfortunately, I was out all day and evening — most of today too. My lead-time can be 24/48 hours as I have a life to live, so could only just now prepare this blog, which only I can do.
However, Social media is MUCH better for disseminating such appeals with minimal delay — as already done on the «Blaxhall» and (I believe) «Saxmundham What's Happening» Facebook pages. However, I've just posted a comment onto our own «Snape Community» Facebook myself, as I happen to be a Group member — which I'd encourage everyone in Snape to be. Then they could post such items themselves.
Also, if members of any social media groups, LOCAL TO SNAPE, would like their group listed on this website, please let me know at webmaster@snapevillage.info for consideration. That might include Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, X/Twitter, Pinterest, Nextdoor, etc.
