BOP TIL YOU DROP!

RAISING FUNDS FOR
SNAPE PLAYING FIELD
TO THE SOUNDS OF ROKKAKU

Saturday 24th September, and the sound of the disco-beat echoed through Snape Village Hall.  Many thanks to Kay & Paul Readhead, for “One Night Only”, we were able to strut our disco moves to the sounds of Rokkaku.  We had the obligatory weather forecast informing us all of a Sandstorm coming up Snape Hill and the sound of the Bongo Bongo drums.  We even had visitors who had flown in from Canada that day — well done, Ford Family, for your support!  A great night was had by all.

In aid of Snape Playing Field funds, a much needed amount of £210 was raised.  The Playing Field Committee have been unable to hold the Snape Fête for the past three years, but money is still needed to maintain the playing-field, equipment and tennis-court.

Thanks to Snape Village Hall Committee for the use of the Hall, to The Golden Key for supplying the BBQ, and to Jasmin Thurston for supplying a marvellous raffle. Prizes were donated by local businesses which included Ladybird Nurseries, The Golden Key, Snape Maltings, Thorpeness Kitchen, Beautiful Hatha Yoga Classes, and (newly opened at Snape Maltings) Earsham Delicatessen — with kind donations of prizes from residents.

Well done everyone, and thank you!!

Mel Thurston
